The Concert

My family went to a concert in the park. A band was playing. I had never been to a concert before. We brought blankets and chairs. We found a spot on the grass. The band started to play. The music was loud. It was fun. People were dancing. I had discovered that live music was different from listening at home. The experience was magnificent. The sky got dark. The lights came on. The band played song after song. I was exhausted by the end. But I did not want it to stop. I had considered staying home. I was glad I had come. The opportunity to hear music outside with my family had been a gift. We sang along to the songs we knew. We clapped. We had a great time. When it was over we walked to the car. I said I wanted to go to another concert. My mom said we would. The concert had been an adventure. I would never forget it.
