The Seed That Grew

We planted a seed in a cup in our classroom. The teacher said we had to take care of it. We put the cup by the window so it would get light. We watered it a little every day. We did not want to give it too much water. We waited. Nothing happened at first. After two weeks we saw something green. A tiny stem came up. We were so excited. The stem grew taller. Then leaves grew. The leaves got bigger. The roots grew too. We had to put the plant in a bigger pot. We filled the pot with soil. We moved the plant carefully. Now it is a tall plant with many leaves. We take care of it every day. We take turns watering it. We learned that plants need light, water, and time to grow.
