Then & Now

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Knowing this makes you a better voter when you grow up.

The process of how a bill becomes a law involves several key steps that ensure careful consideration and debate. First, a bill is proposed in either the House of Representatives or the Senate. After being introduced, it is assigned to a committee where it is examined, and amendments may be made. If the committee approves the bill, it is then debated on the floor of the respective chamber. Following approval from both the House and Senate, the bill is sent to the President, who can either sign it into law or veto it. If vetoed, Congress can override the veto with a two-thirds majority in both chambers.
