The Columbian Exchange refers to the widespread exchange of plants, animals, and ideas between the Americas and Europe after Columbus's voyages. Foods like potatoes, corn, and tomatoes were brought to Europe, changing diets and farming. In return, Europeans introduced horses, cattle, and wheat to the Americas.
