Paul Revere's Ride on April 18, 1775, is a legendary event that played a crucial role in the American Revolution. Revere, a silversmith and patriot, set out from Boston to warn the colonial militia of the approaching British troops. His famous cry, 'The British are coming!' alerted many colonists and enabled them to prepare for the battles of Lexington and Concord. While Revere was not the only rider that night, his ride became symbolic of American resistance and the urgency of the colonies' fight for independence.
