In a democracy, citizens have a say in how they are governed. One way they do this is by voting. When we vote, we choose leaders or say yes or no to a law. Voting is a right and a responsibility. It is important to learn about the choices before voting. People have fought for the right to vote so that everyone's voice can be heard.
