Mixtures and solutions are two ways to combine different materials. A mixture is when two or more substances are mixed together but can still be separated. For example, if you mix sand and salt, you can easily separate them because they keep their own properties. A solution, on the other hand, happens when one substance dissolves in another, forming a clear mixture. For instance, when you stir sugar into water, the sugar dissolves, and you cannot see it anymore. This creates a solution where the sugar is evenly distributed throughout the water, making it sweet!
