The water cycle is the journey water takes as it moves from the ground to the sky and back again. It starts with evaporation, where the sun heats up water in rivers, lakes, and oceans, turning it into water vapor. This vapor rises into the atmosphere and cools down, forming clouds through condensation. When the clouds become heavy, they release water as precipitation, which can fall as rain, snow, or hail. This water then flows back into rivers and lakes, starting the process all over again. For example, after a rainstorm, puddles form, and the sun eventually warms them, causing the water to evaporate back into the air.
