Light reflection happens when light hits a shiny surface and bounces back. Imagine shining a flashlight onto a mirror. The light travels from the flashlight, hits the mirror, and reflects back to your eyes. This is why you can see your image in the mirror! Reflection works best with smooth surfaces, like water or glass, because they allow light to bounce in a clear way. If the surface is rough, like a wall, the light scatters and you canโ€™t see a clear reflection. So, the next time you look in a mirror, remember that the light you see is bouncing back to you!
