Narrative writing tells a story. It includes characters, a setting, and a plot, which is the sequence of events. For example, imagine a story about a brave knight who goes on a quest to save a dragon. The story would describe where the knight lives, the challenges he faces, and how he feels during his adventure. Good narrative writing uses descriptive words to help readers imagine the scenes. It often uses dialogue, which are the words characters say, to make the story more exciting and real. Overall, narrative writing invites readers to experience a journey through the writerโ€™s imagination.
