A metaphor is a way to compare two different things without using the words 'like' or 'as.' Instead of saying something is 'like' something else, a metaphor says it 'is' that thing. For example, if you say, 'The classroom was a zoo,' you mean the classroom was noisy and chaotic, just like a zoo. Metaphors help create strong images in our minds and make writing more interesting. They allow us to express ideas in a creative way. When you use a metaphor, you help the reader understand your feelings or thoughts better.
