Rights are the things that everyone is allowed to do, like the right to play and the right to be safe. Laws are rules created by the government to help protect these rights and keep everyone safe. For example, there is a law that says kids must go to school so they can learn and grow. If someone breaks a law, they may have to face a judge and could be punished. Laws help everyone know what is right and what is wrong.
