Every day we make choices. Some are small. What will I wear? What will I eat? Some are big. Should I try out for the team? How do we make good choices? Good decision-making means thinking about what might happen. What could go right? What could go wrong? It helps to list the good and bad sides. Sometimes we ask a trusted adult. They can help us see things we missed. Making thoughtful choices is a skill. We can practice. We get better with time. Sometimes we make mistakes. That is how we learn. The important thing is to think before we decide. Good choices help us and others.
